Clare has over 17 years experience of assessing, understanding and treating people who experience memory problems. She is dedicated to ensuring that people understand the problems they are having and have access to treatment that will help both the person suffering with memory problems and their families. Clare also has significant experience in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, pain, trauma and grief.

Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist

Katherine has over 15 years experience working in various rehabilitation settings with individuals with a range of neurological conditions, including traumatic brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury and brain infections. Katherine has a particular interest in cognitive rehabilitation, and working with individuals and family to manage emotional and behavioural changes following acquired brain injury.

Associate Clinical Psychologist

Carol qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2003. She worked in the NHS for many years specialising in adult mental health and pain management. Carol joined the Sphere team in 2018 and is passionate about developing individualised treatment packages focusing on a person’s strengths and needs. She has extensive experience of working with individuals with a wide range of neurological and psychological difficulties.

Tim is an experienced tutor, coach and assessor in sport, health and physical activity and holds a degree in Sports Science and Sports Coaching. He has wide ranging experience of supporting adults in respect of their cognitive and physical rehabilitation and community reintegration following a brain injury.

Tim manages the SARA (Sphere Associate Rehab Assistant) programme as part of an overall multi-disciplinary approach to community rehabilitation for brain injury. He also leads on the Dementia research project in partnership with Hull University.

Accounts Manager

Tracey has over 20 years experience of Programme Management in the corporate arena managing large programmes and projects. She now holds the role of Accounts Manager for Sphere.

Tracey is also one of our Senior Rehabilitation Assistants supporting clients with brain injuries in the community, providing them with the support and confidence they need to regain their independence.

Clinical Psychologist

Gemma has worked in Mental Health for over ten years, and has specialised in supporting people with cognitive difficulties since 2013. As a Clinical Psychologist, Gemma has a keen interest in helping people to live a full and meaningful life. During her career she has recognised the impact that brain injury can have on both the individual and their family/support network around them. Her work includes helping people and their loved ones understand their brain injury, engage in rehabilitation, and to work with the emotional impact this can have.

Clinical Psychologist

Kirsty has worked with individuals with cognitive changes and/or emotional difficulties for a number of years, including for the past 6 years as a qualified Clinical Psychologist.  This has included specialist cognitive assessment and psychological assessment and treatment. Kirsty has a particular interest in supporting individuals to manage the emotional adjustment involved following cognitive changes and other significant life changes. This includes helping people to develop a better understanding of their emotional responses and styles of coping, as well as ensuring that they have access to practical coping strategies.

Clinical Psychologist

Lisa works as an independent Clinical Psychologist with clients across the age range and a variety of presentations. With a special focus on trauma and supporting systems such as teams and families to help individuals with challenging presentations. Lisa offers consultation and team formulation to a variety of teams and supports systems to consider staff wellbeing and working practices. 

Lisa also has experience working in the NHS with adults and families with complex mental health difficulties, in community, acute and crisis settings.  

Lisa has post-qualification training in DBT (Therapist level) and a post graduate diploma in systemic practice. Lisa has completed her training in EMDR therapy and is working towards accreditation.

Rachel is a qualified Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years' experience. Rachel has worked in the NHS for many years specialising in older adult mental health. Rachel developed an interest in neuropsychology and assessing, understanding and treating people with cognitive difficulties including acquired brain injury, memory problems and dementia. Rachel also has experience of working with people experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma and grief. Rachel joined the Sphere team in 2018 and is passionate about the service and using her skills to support people and their families.

Liz has worked within person centred roles for over 15 years and is passionate about helping others achieve their goals and reach their potential. Liz’s has worked with a variety of clients from mental health, offending and substance use, which includes using CBT alongside motivational interviewing techniques. Liz is also practiced within the neurodiversity area such as autism, dyspraxia and challenging behaviour.

Asha is a musculoskeletal specialist with experience treating injuries and health conditions across a multitude of settings. Asha studied her Master’s Degree in Sport Rehabilitation at the University of Hull, where she works aiding students gain vital practical experience.

My name is Helen and I am Katherine's sister. I am 39 years old and I live with my parents. I have worked at Tesco since 2004 and I love it. My hobbies are walking my dog, dancing, listening to music, singing, playing the piano and reading. I also have a dance teacher once a week and a personal trainer too. Before Covid I went to the gym twice a week.
